Detailed information on c. 1899 9ct Cross & Antique Chase Chain

I had initially pulled this piece out of the pile for the excellent antique chain, but was thrilled to find that it was paired with an antique cross. The cross is beautifully finished in folate engraving. I love the combination of the size of the cross and the length of the chain - noticeable without looking like something from a Madonna video.

Both the cross and the chain are in excellent condition. The chain is incredibly versatile on its own. It is finished with a barrel clasp with the tiny, old 9ct marking. Love those little details!

Dimensions: Chain is 50cm/19.75in. Cross measures 2.7cm high x 1.8 wide excluding bale.

Markings: Full hallmarks for 9ct, Birmingham, 1899. Makers mark for P Bros. Chain is stamped on clasp for 9ct.
