HOT ! Eero Saarinen Tulip Table - Oval Dining 43 x 71 Inch

The Oval Dining Saarinen Tulip Table was part of Eero Saarinen’s Pedestal Series, first introduced in New York in 1958.  Originally, Eero Saarinen intended to use plastics for the tulip-shaped base. Still, he settled on cast aluminum because he could not find materials strong enough to support the variety of tops he used.  Initially, 10 different sizes of tables were introduced, including side tables, coffee tables, and dining tables.  Each used either a round or oval base, depending on its shape.  

Our Saarinen Tables are high-quality, 100% Italian-made reproductions of the original Saarinen Table. Close attention is paid to the workmanship of the stone and base, resulting in a mid-century modern table that is designed to last for years. The Saarinen Table features a cast aluminum base available in matte white, glossy white, matte black, or glossy black, as well as a matte silver option. The Saarinen Table top is available in a wide variety of stones and laminates, including the popular white Carrara and black Marquina. 

The Saarinen Table base is treated with a clear protective finish over tough epoxy paint meant to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. Stone tops are protected with a natural wax finish.
