Crisply faceted in the style of the early hand cut Whitby Jet beads, the restrained sparkle would have been worn during the period of mourning as was the custom during the Victorian era. This lovely example is finely graduated in an elegant fashion and we have had it hand knotted at each bead. The necklace hangs at a continuous 28 inches and can slip over the head with ease.
