Designed by Danish designer and architect Leif Jørgensen, the Connect Bed takes the idea of traditional craftsmanship methods combined with computer-controlled, high-tech tools and processes which have now become commonplace in the contemporary designer\'s world, to create a minimalistic industrial bed frame. The result is a design with pinpoint precision and an easy-to-assemble construction.Embedded in the bare frame, the screws become an interesting detail with the joints displaying references to conventional carpentry work. The clever construction allows for simple and quick self-assembly and a lower environmental impact through efficient shipping. Comprised of a thick 4mm powder-coated steel frame and birch plywood slats, the Connect Bed offers a complete sleeping solution packed into two boxes.
