Detailed information on Vintage Standard Chair Oak Bleu Dynasty by Jean Prouvé for Vitra
Jean Prouvé was known for his functional designs, often made from industrial materials such as steel. He was a pioneer in the application of industrial manufacturing methods in the fields of furniture and architecture, and influenced many subsequent designers with his work. The Standard Chair, which he designed in 1934, was produced in several different variants. During World War II and the associated metal shortages, he developed the \"Chaise Tout Bois,\" a version of the chair made entirely of wood. In 1950, Vitra launched the Standard SP (Siège en Plastique), a modern variant of the chair with a plastic seat and backrest. The Standard Chair has adapted to changing conditions over the years and is still one of the most popular designers in the world.
This is the original model of the classic, the standard chair, in an elegant combination of oak and a frame in the color Bleu Dynastie. The chairs offered are in mint condition. The price is per piece.
