This exceptional Japanese whetstone was imported directly from Japan and thoroughly tested by us.

It measures 137 mm (5.39 inches) long × 125 mm (4.92 inches) wide × 35 mm (1.38 inches) tall, and weighs 1104 g (38.94 oz / 2.43 lbs).

Hardness: 5Super hard Nakayama Ao Asagi Goma Maruichi. Perfect for razors and Kamisori and marketed originally to the Japanese Barber industry. Maruichi was a shop in Japan which supplied beauty supplies to barbers in the region and beyond. They selected the many stones from different mines but mainly marketed Hon Narutaki, Nakayama, and Shobudani for Kamisori and straight razors. This stone is an Old stock, Vintage, BNIB piece which was stored from the shop\'s vast left over inventory. This super hard Nakayama Ao Asagi is extremely wide with nice surface area for razor finishing. Whether finishing with Mikawa nagura progressions or standalone, this Nakayama Asagi will achieve an extremely fine, lightsaber edge.
