The Ashima Horizon Blade was developed in collaboration with Ashima Shiraishi over two years of iterative testing, focusing on lens geometries optimized for outdoor climbing. Utilizing a 6-base frame construction, the frame incorporates extended peripheral lens coverage for enhanced visual protection. The lens design features four strategically placed ventilation holes near its center, engineered to improve airflow and reduce fogging under dynamic conditions. The 125mm temples are specifically constructed to accommodate helmet use, making the frame suitable for climbing and cycling applications. Adjustable nose pads and temple tips ensure a secure, personalized fit, reinforced with a grade 2 titanium core in the temple tips for added strength. Our signature D+ therapeutic-grade lenses are crafted from a shatterproof polycarbonate compound. The interior surfaces feature anti-reflective and oleophobic coatings, providing comprehensive eye protection while repelling water and oil. The D+ Copper Mirror lens mitigates reflected light and allows 10.03% of visible light transmission, 6.06% of blue light transmission, and blocks 100% of UVA/UVB rays, making it an optimal lens for prolonged outdoor use.
