A sculptural armchair by Eero Aarnio for Mobile Italia, early 1970s. A wide, continuously curved chrome-plated steel frame supports the seat and back like floating volumes. The dense, black upholstery provides a clear contrast to the precise, architectural lines. The cantilevered, tubular supports demonstrate Aarnio\'s experimental approach to structure and statics. In the room, the armchair appears calm and graphic, with a palpable material honesty. In well-preserved vintage condition with signs of wear on the metal, varying in intensity depending on the individual piece. Available per piece; three examples, conditions A–C, each meticulously documented.
