Designer: Frank ReenskaugManufacturer: Bramin Møbler
A beautifully crafted Model 182 rocking chair, designed by Frank Reenskaug for Bramin in the 1960s. The sculptural teak frame is expertly shaped with Reenskaug’s characteristic precision, angular yet soft, functional yet refined. The generous seat and backrest cradle the sitter, offering both comfort and a striking silhouette.
This chair remains one of the most iconic Scandinavian rocking chairs of the period. Its form is visually light, yet structurally sound, with flowing lines and gently curved runners that sit beautifully in both modern and traditional interiors.
About the DesignerFrank Reenskaug was a Danish furniture designer best known for his elegant lounge and rocking chairs produced during the golden age of Danish modernism. His work with Bramin Møbler often reflected the ideals of the era, simplicity, craftsmanship, and warmth, paired with a strong sense of structure and proportion.
Bramin, based in Højbjerg, Denmark, was one of the country’s most respected manufacturers, known for producing high-quality designs by figures such as Reenskaug, Johannes Andersen, and H.W. Klein.
