HOT ! Vintage Polygon Tesserae Tin Cuff

I’ve been drawn to creating some more complex pieces recently. This little polygon cuffs features a range of vintage tins with lovely aged patinas.

Each piece of tin is hand cut, distressed and laid out on the brass sheet. Working from one end, I  punch teeny tiny holes and then rivet each piece to secure it to the brass strip. Once all the pieces are married together, I file and finish the edges and back so that they are smooth. The cuff is then protected with a thin layer of finishing wax. Bending the whole piece into the cuff shape is the final step. The finished bracelet is about .75” (19mm) wide and 6.5” long.
